Twitter API unknowns

You may or may not have realised that I post only via my blog to Twitter now because that place is hell, but I recently started using Front again so I could get DMs etc as an inbox of sorts. As frustrating as it is, I get a lot of opportunities via Twitter still, which I can’t ignore.

Front is bloody great. I tried it a few years ago when Twitter was getting on my nerves and it worked well. I just couldn’t really justify the cost then.

The problem now is that next week, Twitter are removing free access to their API. It’s going to have huge consequences for bots, login with twitter controls and of course, Fedifinder (use it now while you can).

I really hope Front won’t be affected with this incoming change. It feels like a decent solution until Twitter inevitably succumbs to the whims of its petulant man-child owner.

I guess we’ll all see what happens next week…
