Thank you for my $0.01, Coil

After Coil decided to sunset, I got my “final balance” today: a whopping $0.01.

I’m a bit disappointed that the interledger thing never really took off, but it never was gonna work because the payouts were so small. There wasn’t really an incentive for publishers to part ways with ads. I still get a mighty $10 a month from those on piccalil.li, even though I never add content lol.

Let’s hope this is a bump in the road, rather than the end of web monetisation.
