Going for a haircut

I used to work in this horrible, toxic agency, years ago and one of the folks that worked with me was looking for a new job, on the sly. To sneak off for interviews, they would “go and get a haircut” and come back with exactly the same hair.

This was nearly a decade ago now, but me and pals still refer to looking for a new job as “getting a haircut”, even now. Makes me chuckle every time.
